Tove Ditlevsen - Kopenhaška trilogija: Djetinjstvo, Mladost, Ovisnost (Barndom, Ungdom, Gift, 1967-1971)
We dedicated the penultimate meeting of the season to a recommendation from a club member – the Copenhagen trilogy by Danish writer Tove Ditlevsen, which consists of three parts: Childhood, Youth and Gift, published between 1967 and 1971. Under the banner of memoir prose, the trilogy provides an insight into the author's journey from a childhood burdened by a patriarchal upbringing and the lack of a room of her own to the development of a literary career and artistic affirmation. In addition to central feminist themes such as the upbringing of girls and the position of women in the family and public, especially cultural, space, which are precisely dissected in these three books, we have specifically addressed the autopoietic reflections in the works in the discussion, as they deliberately undermine the autobiographical reading of the literary text and thus stand out from a large part of contemporary prose described as autofiction
