Magda Potok

Caponeu Team Member

Full Professor of Spanish Literature in the Department of Spanish Studies at the Faculty of Modern Languages and Literatures. Her research focuses on twentieth- and twenty-first-century Spanish fiction, with particular interests in graphic narrative, translation, gender studies, and cultural studies. She has published on politics in Spanish literature from a gender perspective, as well as on emotions, urban space, and political consciousness in contemporary narratives, including the role of graphic novels in social and political discourse.

As a member of the AMU CAPONEU team, she co-organizes events related to the work package “Political Novel in Europe Between Democracy and Authoritarianism” and the workshop “The Political Novel and Class Distinctions.” Her contribution to the research dimension of the project includes authoring scholarly publications and text portraits, as well as presenting at CAPONEU-related conferences and workshops.
